SUMMARY

This article lists the supported version of Java for Audium Studio, Audium Call Services, and for compiling custom code.

SYMPTOMS

Developer needs to know which versions of Java are supported by Audium software to avoid problems.

RESOLUTION

Audium Studio

Audium Studio comes bundled with a JRE, and so the version that is installed on the machine is not applicable.

Audium Call Services

Audium Call Services has been certified to run on Java 1.3.1 J2SE and Java 1.4.1 J2SE.

Audium OpenSDK

All custom Java code must be compiled against Java 1.3.1 J2SE. It can then be used with Audium Call Services running on any supported JRE.

Please note that Audium Call Services 3.6.X has been certified to run on Java 1.4 and Java 1.5. Java 1.3 is no longer supported for the Call Services 3.6 release.

Moreover, your custom code built with Audium OpenSDK for Call Services 3.6 release must be complied against Java 1.4. It can then be used with Audium Call Services running on any supported JRE.
