As of Audium Studio 5.2, ungrouping an Element Group is possible.

RESOLUTION
An Element Group can be ungrouped by right-clicking on the Element Group in the call flow editor and choosing 'Ungroup Elements'. The elements in the Element Group will be ungrouped to the call flow editor.
