SUMMARY
When the deployApp script is run, an error is produced mentioning that there was a problems parsing the XML file settings.xml.
SYMPTOMS
An error similar to the following is produced when the deployApp script is run:
*** Unable to deploy the application 'someappname' . The error was: There was a problem parsing the XML file AUDIUM_HOME\applications\someappname\data\application\settings.xml. Please see the error log for application 'someappname' for more details about this error. ***
where "someappname" is the name of an Audium application.
RESOLUTION
This error means that, in a voice application's properties in Audium Studio, you chose Call Services 3.6.x as the deploy version but instead deployed it to Call Services 3.4.x or Call Services 3.5.
The solution for this error is to choose the correct version of Call Services when creating the application. You can set the Call Services deploy version by right-clicking on the project in Audium Studio and choosing Properties - > Audium – General Settings.
NOTE: This will not occur if a 3.4.x or 3.5 application is deployed to Call Services 3.6.x, since 3.6.x provides backwards-compatibility to those previous versions.
