SUMMARY
This article discusses how gateway adapters are versioned, so that you can determine which other versions of Audium software your current adapters are compatible with.
SYMPTOMS
User has existing gateway adapters, and would like to know if they will still function after they upgrade to a newer Audum software version.
RESOLUTION
Gateway adapters are associated with dot-versions of Audium Studio and Call Services, not dot-dot-versions. Here are some examples to illustrate this:
- A gateway adapter that works on Call Services 3.6.2 will also work on Call Services 3.6.3 (i.e. the adapter is valid for 3.6.x).
- A gateway adapter that works on Call Services 3.5 will not work on Call Services 3.4.3 (i.e. the adapter is valid for 3.5.x, not 3.4.x).
- A gateway adapter that works on Studio 5.0 will not work on Studio 5.1.3, but will work on Studio 5.0.1.
Additionally, previous gateway adapters may be re-released to function with newer versions of Audium software. Therefore, even if you upgrade to an Audium software version that your current gateway adapters are not supported on, we may have already released updated versions of those gateway adapters specifically intended for this new software version.
