SUMMARY

This article explains why Studio might sometimes display an "out of sync" message when used with version control systems.

SYMPTOMS

Studio produces an "out of sync" message when working with a voice application that has its project stored in a version control system.  This issue most often occurs with CVS, but may occur with other similar version control systems.

RESOLUTION

When Studio saves your voice application's project, it may produce one or more empty directories (e.g. for unconfigured elements, pages, groups, etc.).  However, some version control systems (CVS in particular) do not allow empty directories to be checked-in.  Because of this, users receive an "out of sync" message.

This message is a warning only, and will not effect the development of your voice applications.  Please disregard it.
