SUMMARY

By default, Audium Studio automatically expands all items in the Outline view.  While this may be useful for smaller applications, for large applications this may produce a very long hierarchy list.  This article explains how to disable this auto-expansion.

SYMPTOMS

When the Outline view is opened (it is a tab available from the Element Configuration pane), all items in the hierarchy are fully expanded.  For example, the first page of your application will list all elements that occur on it, rather than listing just a plus (+) sign.

RESOLUTION

As of Audium Studio 5.1, there is a toggleable option that allows you to specify whether the Outline view should be automatically expanded or not. This option can be changed by doing the following:

1) Click on Window -> Preferences.
2) Select the Audium section, and expand the hierarchy by clicking on the plus (+) sign.
3) Select General.
4) Uncheck the "Expanded Elements in Outline View" option.
5) Click OK.

If your callflow is open, you may need to close and reopen your callflow for this change to take effect.
