SUMMARY
This articles explains how Audium users who run Audium Call Services on WebSphere can set the Audium Home JVM property to the location of their Audium Home directory using the WebSphere Administrative Console.
SYMPTOMS
Audium Call Services needs to know the location of its data directory, called Audium Home. Developer would like to declare the location of this directory using a JVM variable in WebSphere. Note that there are other ways to declare this location, see the articles linked at the bottom of this one for alternate methods.
RESOLUTION
To delcare the location of Audium Home from within the WebSphere Administrative Console, follow these steps:
1. Open the Administrative Console in a web browser, and login.
2. Click on 'Servers'.
3. Click on 'Application Servers'.
4. Click on the name of the server running Audium Call Services from the list that is displayed.
5. Scroll down and click on 'Process Definition'.
6. Scroll down and click on 'Java Virtual Machine'.
7. Scroll down and click on 'Custom Properties'.
8. Click on 'New'.
9. Set the name of the new property to "Audium.Home" (without the quotes). Set the value of the property to the location of your Audium Home directory. For example, on Windows the default location is c:\program files\Audium\CallServices.
10. Click on 'OK'.
11. Click on the word 'Save' in the following message which should now be shown on the top of the page:
Changes have been made to your local configuration. Click Save to apply changes to the master configuration.
12. Click on the 'Save' button.
Note that Audium Call Services should be restarted for this change to take effect.
