SUMMARY

This article discusses compatibility between previously-released (e.g. during Audium Studio 3.4.5 and earlier) gateway adapters and Audium Studio 5.

SYMPTOMS

Developer would like to know if gateway adapters should be downloaded and installed in Audium Studio 5 as they were in earlier versions.

RESOLUTION

Audium Studio 5 includes all gateway adapters that existed at the time of its release, and so they should not be individually installed. However, support for a particular gateway adapter is dependent on Audium Studio 5's license. Developers who need access to an additional gateway adapter should contact their Audium Account Representative.

NOTE: The previously-released gateway adapters are not compatible with Audium Studio 5, but since Studio 5 includes modified (e.g. compatible) versions of all of these gateway adapters, they need not be installed.

When a new gateway needs to be supported, please follow these steps:

1. Download the gateway adapter for this gateway.
2. Install the gateway adapter under Audium Call Services.
3. Contact your Audium Account Representative to acquire updated licenses for both Audium Call Services and Audium Studio 5, which include support for this new gateway adapter.
4. Do not install the gateway adapter under Audium Studio 5, it is already present.
