SUMMARY

This article explains the steps involved in configuring Audium Studio to access the Internet via a proxy.  In environments that use a proxy, this is required for automated software activation (Audium Studio 5 only) and Audium Studio's "Software Updates" feature.

SYMPTOMS

Audium Studio is installed in an environment that involves a proxy.  Developer would like to either activate their installation or upgrade to a new release using the "Software Updates" feature, but needs to configure Audium Studio to access the Internet via the proxy.

RESOLUTION

To configure Audium Studio to access the Internet via a proxy:

  1. Click on "Window -> Preferences... -> Install/Update".
  2. Select (check) "Enable HTTP proxy connection".
  3. Enter your proxy host address and, if applicable, proxy host port (usually port 80).
  4. Click Apply to save the proxy settings, and then click OK.
