RESOLUTION

With the release of Audium Studio 5, we have streamlined and automated our software licensing process so that it is easier for our customers to use.  With previous versions of Audium Studio, users were sent license files that then had to be placed in a specific folder under their Audium Studio installation.  Users of Audium Studio 5 do not need to do this; software licenses are acquired and managed automatically.

After installation, the first time Audium Studio 5 is started the software will prompt the user to activate it. Additionally, each time Audium Studio 5 is started without an active license, the user will be prompted to activate the software.

On machines with Internet access, activation can be performed online. The user will be prompted for their installation key, and Audium Studio 5 will automatically download the most recent license associated with the key the user provides.

Audium Studio 5 also provides a way to activate the product when an Internet connection is not available; this is called "manual activation". Using a different computer (that does have Internet access), the user can request a license key from our manual activation page.In order to request a license, the installation key and system ID are required. This information is available by navigating to 'Help->Activation...' within Audium Studio 5.

Once the manual activation page validates the provided information, a license (i.e., block of text) will be presented to the user. This license can then be manually entered into Audium Studio 5 to activate the software; to do this, paste it into the large "License Key" text area in the Activation dialog and click "Activate".
