SUMMARY
This article explains how Audium 3.3 applications can be imported into Audium Studio 5.
SYMPTOMS
Developer has one or more Audium 3.3 applications that they would like to import into Audium Studio 5.
RESOLUTION
Audium Studio 5 includes support for importing Audium Studio 3.4.x applications, but discontinues support for importing older (e.g. Audium 3.3) applications. However, there is a workaround. By first importing your Audium 3.3 applications into Audium Studio 3.4.x, you can convert them. These converted applications can then be imported Audium Studio 5.
The following is an overview of how to import an Audium 3.3 application into Audium Studio 5:
- Open Audium Studio 3.4.x.
- Import the application into Audium Studio 3.4.x.
- Export the application to the file system (i.e. convert it to a 3.4.x application).
- Open Audium Studio 5.
- Import the 3.4.x version of the application into Audium Studio 5.
If you are upgrading from Audium 3.3 (or earlier) to Audium Studio 5, we recommend that you convert all of your applications in this manner before installing Audium Studio 5. This will allow you to easily import them once Audium Studio 5 has been installed.
If you do not have an installation of Audium Studio 3.4.x to use for converting your applications, please contact your Audium Account Representative to obtain an evaluation license for this purpose.
